Creativity Takes Flight

With the thousands of miles I log in business travel each year, I'm all about functionality and organization, and this little suitcase is just the ticket.

Check out Ready Made for details and let your creativity take flight.
Now, if I can only find a way to pack all my shoes.

Little Cutie

I love vintage travel trailers.  Their shape, interior design, colors and character.  The older the better, regardless of condition.

I fell head over heels with these little cuties about three years ago while flipping through a magazine.  I turned the page and a small picture and article about Sisters on the Fly, a women's travel group, jumped off the page and I was immediately hooked!

Fast forward to 2011 and not only have I owned many trailers, but I started a side business where I buy, sell and repair vintage (and new) trailers.  Here's one of my recent 'rescues' just waiting for a home.

Hidden Treasure

I love architectural elements and weathered buildings that stand the test of time. They just seem to get better with each passing year.

Dreams of Life Abroad

I have been dreaming of traveling through Europe lately.  Running away in my mind to far off places, eating wonderful local cuisine and sleeping until I wake up.  No alarms, no committments, no obligations.  Just living and venturing about to learn new things, meet new people and find out more about myself.

This dream was fueled last night while I was watching Eat, Pray, Love.  In the barber shop scene in Italy, Julia's friend starts ranting about how Americans don't know how to live or experience joy.  How we work too hard, stay up too late and feel guilty when we [try to] relax or vacation.  When we do take a much deserved moment for ourselves, we are so exhausted we stay home in our pjs, living on the sofa, glued to the television.

The screenwriter could have just inserted my name in those lines because I am the epitome of that American.  And I don't like it.  So I'm going to change.  Right now.   Or... right after I stop reading this great blog about living abroad in France, get off the sofa and change out of my sweats.

Bon voyage.
